Import Savings Group FAQ
Legal & Compliance
- What if my company is acquired or ownership changes during the agreement?
If your company goes through a merger or ownership change, ISG will review available options to ensure program continuity. Please notify ISG, and we’ll help you manage the transition while maintaining compliance and savings.
- What happens if we discontinue the program?
If you choose to exit the Import Savings Program, no reverse action is required. Your documentation, shipping, and customs procedures remain intact with your Suppliers or customs broker. However, you must complete the financial terms outlined in your ISG 36-month Client Agreement.
- Is the Import Savings Program compliant with U.S. Customs regulations?
Yes. The Import Savings Program is fully compliant with U.S. Customs laws and regulations. All practices are aligned with U.S. Customs compliance standards and rulings to ensure full regulatory adherence.
- Is my company information private?
Yes. All information is private and protected. ImportLogix™ uses secure technology to protect Importer and Supplier data. All answers are confidential and only used for the Importer’s tariff and duty savings program. See Privacy Policy.
- How likely is a U.S. Customs audit, and how should our company prepare?
Audits are random and rare but are increasing. ImportLogix™ helps prepare customs-compliant documentation in advance to support a potential “banking audit.” ISG also educates Importers by offering clear procedures on how to handle the process if contacted by U.S. Customs.
- How is your tariff savings program supported legally?
ISG’s tariff reduction models use legally approved accounting principles and drafts of legal customs-compliant documentation developed in collaboration with leading U.S. Customs law firms and trade specialists, ensuring the highest level of legality and trust.
Operational Support
- Will our accounting or shipping documentation change in order to comply with ImportLogix™?
Yes. Some changes are needed to activate U.S. import savings. ImportLogix™ provides new, step-by-step Procedures for shipment POs, invoices, and future payments to Suppliers.
- Which languages are supported in ImportLogix™?ImportLogix™ supports major global languages, including English, Spanish, French, Mandarin Chinese, Portuguese, German, Japanese, and others. Additional languages will be added over time based on Importer and Supplier needs.
- What specific information or data does your import software collect from the factories during the survey?
ISG’s import software, ImportLogix™, gathers basic factory budget data organized by topic, following examples that align with U.S. Customs guidance and explanations.
- What is the purpose of the Supplier Survey?
The Supplier Survey asks basic budget questions. This helps calculate savings that reduce the U.S. Importer’s tariffs and duties. Step-by-step instructions are provided so the process is clear and simple, supporting future shipment savings on every order with your Importer.
- Is translation automatic in ImportLogix™, or do I need to select a language?By default, ImportLogix™ shows content in English. You may choose another available language in the software settings to see a translated version of most key instructions, fields, and reports.
- How much time and effort will ImportLogix require?
Minimal. ImportLogix is designed to streamline manual workload by automating Supplier data collection and customs documentation. Most of your team’s involvement is front-loaded during Supplier onboarding. After that, ISG manages ongoing compliance with changing U.S. Customs and tariff regulations and supports Supplier updates as your supply chain evolves.
- How does language translation help Importers and Suppliers?Basic translation reduces confusion and speeds up collaboration by letting both sides understand instructions in their preferred language when possible, which supports smoother completion of ImportLogix™ surveys and documents
- How are the new Factories/Suppliers onboarded to the software?
Importers invite each Supplier to set up their credentials and log into ImportLogix™. Suppliers then complete a detailed online survey covering organizational accounting and budgets.
- Does our company team have to organize all the data analyses with our Suppliers?
No. As part of the ImportLogix™ onboarding process, factories complete a structured online survey. The software then automatically analyzes the data and generates compliant documentation to support tariff and duty savings.
- Does our company provide or develop the required Customs documentation?
ImportLogix™ generates supporting documentation needed for compliance and your import files base on the data collected from each Supplier. We recommend you ask your own company's legal counsel or customs specialist to review the details, so all documentation supports your specific industry, business model and Supplier relationship.

- Why does the ImportLogix™ program require a 36‑month subscription?ImportLogix™ is designed as a long-term tariff savings and compliance platform rather than a short-term software expense. Program fees are based on the scope and complexity of your import profile, aligning subscription costs with the scale of your operations. The 36‑month subscription provides full coverage across multiple product and supply‑chain cycles, ensuring consistent tariff reduction across all shipments. Most importers begin realizing measurable savings with their first shipment, often offsetting early program costs. Annual discounts in years two and three support long‑term cost stability and help support stronger margins throughout your global operations.
